Arguably the most famous coastal dune lake on 30A, Western Lake offers stunning mirror-like reflections of pine flatwoods, sand dunes, and tall grasses. The water is calm and ideal for SUP yoga, exploration, or just floating and soaking in the view.

Best For: Calm sunrise paddles, nature exploration

This coastal dune lake offers a quiet paddle with beautiful scenery and direct access to the Gulf. Paddle east toward the beach or meander through the winding freshwater estuary surrounded by pine and cypress trees.

Drop off spot: Access from Eastern Lake Road—limited parking, so go early.

Best For: Nature lovers staying in Inlet/Rosemary beach

Lake Powell is the largest of Florida’s rare coastal dune lakes and an ideal spot for paddleboarding. The waters are calm, brackish, and protected, making it a perfect launching point for beginners or early-morning adventures. Wildlife is abundant—you might spot ospreys, turtles, or even dolphins near the outflow to the Gulf.
